Aims of Gardening Group:  This is a group for U3A members, who like gardening, even those who do not have a garden or can no longer garden, but are still keen to learn more and enjoy the beauty of gardens. It is for people to pick our speakers and each other's brains about anything to do with gardening and to get the opportunity to visit some fabulous houses and gardens. New members are always welcome.

Our talks cover a range of topics relating to plants, gardens, local  landmarks and the natural environment they are not about how to grow  potatoes for example, so you don't have to bring along a spade or even  have a garden to join in.

Daphne is looking for ideas for new local speakers or wonderful gardens to visit  for 2025 - 2026 which will be her last year organising this group, so if you have any  ideas please get in touch.
