Line Dance Floor Etiquette

When dancing , please do NOT:

Walk through dancers Please wait, or go round the edge of the floor.

Chatter while teaching is in progress.

Carry food or drink on to or across the dance floor.

When dancing PLEASE:

Turn off mobile phones if you can, if not, please leave the room to answer them.

Be courteous to other dancers, particularly beginners.

Try to stay in lines and take smaller steps if the floor is crowded.

Listen to your body - sit down and take a rest if you need it.

Most of all - Enjoy!

What is a Line Dancer?

A Line Dancer is a person who knows their left from their right, but occasionally forgets it.

A Line Dancer is someone who has learned to do as they are told, but doesn't always do it.

They are fanatical in their search of a good time, travelling miles in all kinds of weather, going places they would never go to otherwise. Spending all night on their feet which were killing them at work and smiling happily all the time.

A Line Dancer has a language all their own. It used to be that reggae was a kind of music, vines grow on shrubs, fans keep you cool, a triple could impair your vision, a hitch was for a trailer and a lock was something you used a key in.

So how do all these thing fit on a dance floor?

ASK A LINE DANCER!

If this description fits you, don't worry. Although it's a practically incurable disease, it is not at all harmful, though most line dancers have a desire to infect other members or communities.
